Technical and Historical Notes
The Gibraltar Class is one of the many marvels of Adamant's technological expertise and engineering abilities. This ship is considered their crown jewel, a powerful transporter designed for both combat in space and atmospheric interface. It features state-of-the-art equipment systems from a powerful sensor system with radar, air radar, ECM/ECCM filters, and Sonar for if the ship ever needs to traverse over water. However, when in the water, the ship can deploy its mobile suits via the central catapult. However, for use of its larger dual catapults, the ship must lift out of the water. Its Main Guns are a pair of Triple 400mm Charged Particle Beam Cannons that are highly powerful even against other warships and provide higher outputs than that of the basic Beam Cannons found on U.A.F or Central Alliance transports. A draw back to the design however, is the lack of anti-air weapons to defend itself. This is remedied by the application of Anti-Beam Armor, a magnetic barrier that activates around the ship and about 10 meters out. The Barrier can deflect small output beam attacks and cause missiles to detonate prematurely. However, ballistic based guns can punch right through, leaving the main armor hull to hold up against such attacks.
There are currently three ships in this line available, the Gibraltar, the Albion and the Babylon.
